At the Vanguard of Spiritual Care in a Changing World.
Accreditation & Board Certification
This program is authorized by the College of Pastoral Supervision & Psychotherapy (CPSP) through the Nautilus Pacific Chapter, the oldest and most respected group of CPSP supervisors west of the Mississippi. Clinical Chaplaincy also collaborates with the Spiritual Care Association (SCA) on educational offerings (e.g., open case study groups, special seminars) that complement our CPE/T units.

Board Certification Pathways: Completed CPE/T units at CC contribute toward eligibility for professional chaplaincy certification with the most recognized certifying bodies, notably CPSP itself as well as BCCI (Association of Professional Chaplains) and NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains). Our curriculum, required work, and supervisory evaluations are intentionally aligned with board-readiness preparation.

Ongoing Community & Mentoring: CC connects graduates with CPSP chapter communities and CC/SCA case study forums for continued peer review, mentoring toward certification, and professional growth. We remain available to advise alumni on job search strategy, interview preparation, and portfolio refinement.

Legacy & Outcomes: CC extends the training lineage Dr. David Roth established and led for over a decade at Kaiser Permanente, Brigham Young University, and elsewhere, whose graduates advanced into Board Certified Clinical Chaplain roles, diplomate supervision, and spiritual care leadership. We carry that tradition into a flexible, local placement model.
