"First Tuesday"
Open Case Study Review

(a Spiritual Care Association initiative)

On the first Tuesday of each month, CC founder Dr. David Roth is joined by colleagues for an open, online, psychodynamically informed chaplaincy case review. A real, de-identified case study is presented, then worked through with experienced supervisors and psychodynamically trained clinical chaplains using a systems-psychodynamic lens.

This series extends SCA’s recent Psychodynamic Chaplaincy Initiative and April 2025 foundational paper as an on-ramp for chaplains new to this clinical depth, and a sharpening ground for those already practicing it.

Free for SCA members: all are welcome to listen, learn, and contribute.

Why it matters: real cases, real supervision, and a safe space to deepen clinical thinking, role clarity, and institutional savvy.
